Ian is well known as the Head Physiotherapist for Team Anthony Joshua. With over 20 years of experience as a Sports Physiotherapist, managing the sports science & medical services for the Great Britain Boxing program, Ian trained elite athletes on their path to success through Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, and current combined Tokyo 2020 / Paris 2024 Olympic cycles.
Ian is an Upper Limb Injury Specialist with the prestigious English Institute of Sport (EIS); providing an advisory role to Olympic and Paralympic sports. He also provides private specialist consultations on Upper Limb MSK injuries in the UK and overseas. He is a visiting Lecturer at University College London (UCL) and Queen Mary University London (QMUL). Further, he is a published author on research papers and is currently a PhD candidate in Upper Limb Biomechanics at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).
Ian has a passion for teaching delivering regular national and international workshops, webinars, and at conferences on diverse topics linked to Upper Limb sport injuries. He has developed a keen interest and international reputation in diagnosis and management of sporting hand, wrist and elbow regions.
