Evangelos Almpanidis

Evangelos Almpanidis is a specialist physical therapist with a clinical interest in headaches, upper cervical spine and temporomandibular joint disorders TMDs.
He studied Physiotherapy at International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki, Greece where he graduated in 2010. He continued his further education in the UK where he specialised in Manual Therapy, completing his postgraduate degree (MSc Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy) in 2013 at the University of Birmingham. On top of that, through a successful clinical examination and supervision process, he was accepted as a full member on the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), a UK association of more than a thousand members with certain research, clinical and educational excellence criteria.
With regards to his time in the UK, he had a working experience of 10 years, both in the public sector (NHS) and in the private sector, culminating in the role of Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner at Oxford NHS Hospital. Returning to Greece, he is now managing a private clinic and teaches manual therapy at the Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Association of Greece.
With regards to his educational commitments, he has been teaching and lecturing in postgraduate courses at University of Birmingham in the subject of manual therapy, headaches and TMDs. At the same time, he acts as a clinical instructor, mentor and examiner for the MACP.
In 2022, he started a collaboration as a clinical researcher with the 'Centre of Precision and Rehabilitation of Spinal Pain' of University of Birmingham studying the interaction between physical and psychological characteristics in people with chronic neck pain, headaches and TMDs.
He has participated in numerous international conferences throughout the years
